Tren de Aragua Gang Investigations
Course Details
This course provides an in-depth look at the Venezuelan Transnational Organized Crime group Tren de Aragua (TDA). Participants engage in practical exercises and learn investigative strategies to recognize and respond to TDA activity within their jurisdictions.
The course also explores the broader context of Latin American gangs and cartels, including potential connections to terrorist organizations like Hezbollah.
Participants examine TDA’s:
- International and local impact.
- Criminal methodologies.
- Identifying markers such as graffiti, tattoos and hand signs.
Cost: This class is free to all Tennessee law enforcement officers through the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs (OCJP) Violent Crime Intervention Fund.
Hours: 8
