This five-day course certifies officers to operate in a school setting. Upon completion, participants will earn a School Resource Officer Certification. Topics include Roles and Responsibilities, Law Review, Safety Procedures, Security and Vulnerability, Emergency Management, Active Shooter, Social Media and Technology, Sex Offender Registry, and Special Education. Municipal and County Law Enforcement agencies in Tennessee’s Distressed, At-Risk, Rural , or Counties will have their registration fees funded through LEICs (DARRT) Initiative. —-If you are from a DARRT-qualified agency and are interested in this specific course, please contact UT LEIC for the registration information.
