This 2-day (16 hour) course will cover law enforcement reaction to an escalating crisis while handling day to day operational situations. It will explain the indicators of the steps of an escalating crisis. Participants will learn basic verbal skills and de-escalation techniques in order to attempt to prevent unnecessary increases in use of force. In addition to classroom lectures and scenarios, group exercises and interaction is applied in this course.
