Latent Print Chemical Processing & Macro Photography

This five-day course will teach both sworn and non-sworn investigators how to successfully process and preserve latent print evidence utilizing the many chemical processing techniques available. Participants will learn through facilitated classroom training and hands-on applications:
Latent print terminology
Latent print advanced development techniques
Latent print documentation and preservation
Latent print enhancement with alternate light source(s) (ALS)
Introduction to macro photography
Proper photographic techniques for documenting comparison evidence
Proper lighting, filters, and lenses for documenting comparison evidence
Use of copy stand in macro photography
Off-the-shelf big box store techniques, tips, and applications.
